Richard Rudman is a consultant and writer on human resources management and related areas. He has advised and worked with a range of private and public sector organisations over the past 25 years, having previously held corporate roles in human resources management, employee development and employment relations. Richard Rudman writes on human resources and employment relations. In addition to Human Resources Management in New Zealand, he is the author of the annual New Zealand Employment Law Guide (published by CCH New Zealand) and Performance Planning and Review: Making Employee Appraisals Work (Allen & Unwin). He is the compiler of HR Manager and Workforce Manager, online services produced by CCH New Zealand, and a contributing editor to the CCH Australia reporting services Human Resources Management and Managing Training and Development. He has written articles for many journals and magazines. Richard Rudman has taught at Victoria University of Wellington and Massey University in Palmerston North. He has led executive development programmes in New Zealand and Asia, and presented papers to a number of international human resource management conferences. He is a Life Fellow of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand and a holder of its prestigious Ron Ellis Memorial Award for outstanding contribution to the human resources profession. Richard Rudman holds degrees from University of Auckland and Victoria University of Wellington.
