Pashto a is an Eastern Iranian language that is
native to southern and eastern Afghanistan, northwestern Pakistan, and parts of
eastern Iran. It is spoken by over 40 million people worldwide. Pashto is
written in the Pashto alphabet or script, which is a modified form of the
Perso-Arabic script.
