McGraw-Hill Connect is a digital teaching and learning environment that gives you the means to better connect with your coursework, with your instructors, and with the important concepts that you will need to know for success now and in the future. With Connect you can practise important skills at your own pace and on your schedule. Connect for Business Driven Information Systems comes with LearnSmart, an adaptive study tool proven to strengthen memory recall, increase class retention, and boost grades. By identifying your strengths and weaknesses, you can ensure that every minute you spend studying has the highest possible impact. With users experiencing an average of a letter grade improvement, adaptive learning is a proven way to increase your success and confidence.

Business Driven Information Systems discusses various business initiatives first and how technology supports those initiatives second. The premise for this contemporary approach is that business initiatives should drive technology choices. Every discussion first addresses the business needs and then addresses the technology that supports those needs. This text provides the foundation that will enable students to achieve excellence in business, whether they major in operations management, manufacturing, sales, marketing, finance, human resources, accounting, or virtually any other business discipline. Business Driven Information Systems is designed to give students the ability to understand how information technology can be a point of strength for an organisation. It includes a complete expansion pack of Microsoft Office plug-ins so that students can practise essential business applications without needing to purchase a separate textbook. In addition, the text’s integrated inclusion of mobile technologies, cloud computing, privacy, security and social networking reflect the digital reality of today’s business environment. This latest edition is current and highly readable – it includes over 35 new real world case studies and industry examples that highlight the power of MIS in business. New features such as Graduate Spotlights and “Where are they now?” will offer students insights into the career paths of MIS graduates, helping them to realise the relevancy of course content.
