Max Fleischer was an animation pioneer who established Fleischer Studios, credited with bringing the famous cartoon characters Betty Boop and Popeye to the movie screen for the first time in the 1930s. Bud Counihan is a cartoon artist who illustrated Betty Boop and created the newspaper strip Little Napoleon. He also worked with Chic Young on Blondie.
