Description

The guys in the Regiment know they face their fiercest enemies when they fight the Taliban. No-one is tougher, more deadly - or more cunning. And if they enter the Taliban's kill zone, they know just what to expect...

When three deadly Stinger missiles go missing in Helmand Province, the Regiment is tasked to retrieve the weapons at all costs. SAS legend Jack Harker has a mission to lead an eight-man team into a suspected Taliban facility. He's suspicious about what the aims of the mission really are - and it's about to get noisy.

Meanwhile, in Belfast, Siobhan Byrne, a highly trained surveillance operative, is infiltrating the drug crew of a former IRA commander. But are her motives professional or personal Even she doesn't know any more.

Neither Jack nor Siobhan can guess just how closely linked their operations are about to become, or just what's at stake. But as the President of the United States makes plans to visit the UK, a devastating plot unfolds.

Critic Reviews

“'The books are masterpieces of social realism. [Chris Ryan] has lived the virtual life he writes about - and that makes him the right kind of war novelist for this generation. These storylines are dependent on a bustle of verbs that lead in every instance to blood and explosions, desperate screams and increasing levels of difficulty: it is never long before we find things and people being zapped, fried, crunched, toasted and skewered, as the bad deeds of the world are comprehensively avenged'”

A shockingly authentic tale to keep your adrenalin pumping as fast as the blood on the pages. - Sun on The Kill Zone

Former SAS soldier Ryan needs little introduction . . . This 15th Ryan thriller bears all his hallmarks, with bone-crunching action, a hero with nothing to lose and a heroine who used to work for the famed 14 Intelligence Company in Ulster . . . There's barely a moment for the reader to draw breath as it races to a denoument that Frederick Forsyth would be proud of . . . Ryan has come of age as a writer - his Boys' Own bravado is now tempered with sharp political insight and a neat line in treachery. Catch him now. - Daily Mail on THE KILL ZONE

A classic of the genre - FHM on THE KILL ZONE

Nobody takes you to the action better than Ryan, because he's the real deal, and this muscle-and-bone thriller will have fans' blood pumping - Evening Standard

Chris Ryan is as hard as nails - Mirror

A no-holds-barred action thriller that smacks of authenticity . . . as an ex-SAS soldier, Ryan knows the bloody details of these dog-eat-dog worlds and he scores another hit here - News of the World on THE KILL ZONE
