Critics Review

This mystery melodrama has a Victorian setting almost Dickensian in its convincing portrayal of the seamier side of fog-wrapped London life … An enthralling read * Daily Mail *This is a totally absorbing read from start to finish * Morning Star *A twistingly brilliant tale * Peterborough Evening Telegraph *The Graves of Whitechapel flows eloquently. Evans utilises the art form to add density to the evolving story with one poem above all - ‘The Graves of Whitechapel’ - cleverly perpetuating the plot’s thickening mysteries * The Courier *The Graves of Whitechapel by Claire Evans is worthy of the highest acclaim. This is a novel that will keep you guessing to the very last chapter * The Coffee Pot Book Club (blog) *A wonderfully atmospheric and compelling historical murder mystery * Lynn’s Book Blog *This is an excellent story … The historical context is admirable and convincing * Historical Novel Society (blog) *A lively historical thriller which has more than enough twists and turns to keep you guessing * Jaffareadstoo (blog) *An atmospheric and pacey murder mystery * The Quick and the Read (blog) *
