Most of the invitations come from Webb's personal collection, which he has accumulated over the years as a fashion correspondent, and there will also be contributions from his front-row contemporaries, including Colin McDowell. In addition to invitations in their various forms, the collection will also feature programme notes, posters and promotional objects - all of which have rarely been made available outside the fashion industry.
Iain R. Webb is an award-winning writer and Professor of Fashion at the Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins in London. During his career he has been fashion editor/director of BLITZ, Harpers & Queen, Elle, The Times and the Evening Standard, and has also written for The New York Times, Russian Vogue and The Independent. Webb has published several books, including the highly acclaimed As Seen in BLITZ: Fashioning '80s Style, Postcards from the Edge of the Catwalk, Foale and Tuffin: The Sixties and Bill Gibb: Fashion and Fantasy.
