Ian Trevaskis was born in Geelong, Victoria. In addition to teaching, he studied fine arts and has worked as a teacher of Arts / Crafts. He has written several children’s stories including Quincy which was a Children’s Book Council of Australia Notable Book in 1992 , and The Postman’s Race which was a Children’s Book Council of Australia Notable Book in 1993. Ian now writes full time and with Golden Scarab the second title in the Hopscotch series.
