About The Author
Jane Goodall
Jane Goodall was an English zoologist and a renowned expert on chimpanzees. She studied them at the Gombe Stream Reserve by Lake Tanganyika from 1970 and worked extensively on conservation and animal welfare issues. Her books include IN THE SHADOW OF MAN, published in more than forty languages. She was the winner of the Kyoto Prize (1990), Hubbard Medal (1995), and Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement (1997). She was also a UN Ambassador and received her Damehood in 2004. She died in 2025.
