John Townsend is an author of children's books and plays. He was a secondary school teacher, playwright and story-teller in primary schools before concentrating on writing full-time. He is a Reading Champion for the UK's National Literacy Trust, a Reading Patron and a frequent visitor to schools, literacy projects and anywhere celebrating books.Steve Brown is an accomplished illustrator living in Romney Marsh, Kent, UK, who has worked with many publishers in the UK and the US, including Welbeck, Scholastic, Franklin Watts, HarperCollins, Maverick, Oxford University Press and many more.
