Karla Strambini was born in Townsville, North Queensland, and currently lives in Melbourne. She did well at school, especially in English and Art, and went on to study the former at University. Before her degree was quite complete she had a baby girl and spent the next six years raising her to be a genius, then began all over again with a son. In-between planning birthday parties for her children, Karla tried to write a couple of picture books. She has since completed a Diploma of Visual Art. The Extraordinary Mr Qwerty is her first book.
