About the Author

Kevin Bales is president of Free the Slaves and advisor to the UN and many governments. He is the author of the award-winning Disposable People and Ending Slavery. Zoe Trodd teaches at the Department of English and the Institute of African-American Studies at Columbia University. Alex Kent Williamson of Harvard Unniversity is a pathologist and a memeber of Physicians for Human Rights.
