About the Author

Meg McKinlay is a versatile, award-winning author of children's picture books and novels. A Rhino's Tale is her fourth pairing with illustrator Leila Rudge. Their previous picture book collaboration No Bears was short-listed in two categories for the prestigious CBCA Book of the Year awards and was published by WUK and CWP. She is an Honorary Research Associate at the University of Western Australia, where she has taught Australian Literature, Japanese, and Creative Writing.

Leila Rudge is the award-winning and much-loved author/ illustrator. Ted, her first picture book as both author and illustrator, was a 2104 CBCA Notable Book. She grew up in England but headed to Australia after completing an Illustration Degree at Bath Spa University. /
