A introductory approach to rheology and non-Newtonian fluid mechanics that guides students from a beginner level all the way to advanced mathematical models also provides a fundamental grounding for researcher and professional.
Mostafa Barigou is Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham, UK. He has over 300 publications in scientific journals, books, and conference proceedings on experimental and modelling problems in the general field of Fluid Dynamics, Rheology and Transport Processes with a special interest in Complex Fluids. The aim of his research has been to contribute to the enhancement of fundamental scientific knowledge as well as to provide engineering solutions to various industries. He is associate editor of several scientific journals. He was awarded the Higher Doctorate of Science (DSc) for sustained original research of merit on experimental and theoretical studies of complex flows and complex fluids, and for his expertise and authoritative standing in the field. He has taught courses on the subject of rheology and non-Newtonian flow to university undergraduate as well as postgraduate students for over 25 years.
