Quinlan Jaffrey is a Gooniyandi and Palyku man from the Kimberely and Pilbara regions of North West Australia. This is Quinlan's first book. Jade Goodwin is an illustrator and Gamilaroi person from the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, renowned for her vibrant and imaginative creations. Her artistic adventures began in her grandparents' screen printing studio, where she immersed herself in creativity. Jade's passion for illustration grew over time, leading to a successful career in the children's publishing industry. In November 2021, Jade signed her first picture book contract with Penguin Random House, which paved the way for her to work with leading publishers such as Magabala, HarperCollins, Hachette, Allen & Unwin, Hardie Grant (Bright Light) and Affirm Press.
