About the Author

Rotimi Taiwo PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of English, of the same University. He was a post-doctoral fellow of Alexander von Humboldt at the University of Freiburg, Germany and a visiting professor at the University of Munster, Germany. His research focus in recent times has been on the application of (critical) discourse analytic and text-linguistic theories to the Internet and mobile telecommunications. He was the editor of the journal Ife Studies in English Language. He also serves as a consulting editor for Linguistik Online (Switzerland), The Internet Journal of Language, Culture and Society (Australia); Journal of Language Studies (Ota, Nigeria).
