About the Author

Sally Nicholls (Author) Sally Nicholls grew up in Stockton-on-Tees, and after school, travelled the world, working for a period at a Red Cross hospital in Japan. Sally's first novel, Ways to Live Forever, won the Waterstones Children's Book Prize and she has been shortlisted for the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize, the Costa Children's Book Award, and the Carnegie Medal, twice. She lives in Liverpool with her husband and two sons.Carolina Rabei (Illustrator) Carolina Rabei is an illustrator with a BA in Graphic Design, and a distinction in the MA in Children’s Book Illustration from the prestigious Cambridge School of Art. Carolina's books have been nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal, shortlisted for the Read It Again! award and featured on The Independent's list of 11 Best Books for 4 to 7-Year-Olds.
