About the Author

Patrick and Renee Kelly are a connubial creative team. Renee is an editor and author who has written books for young readers like Life with My Family. Patrick is a writer, filmmaker, and producer whose works include an award-winning music video and a successful podcast series. This is his first published book. They live in New Jersey with their delightful dog, Huxley.

Sue Macy is the acclaimed author of many books for young readers, including Miss Mary Reporting: The True Story of Sportswriter Mary Garber, which was on the Amelia Bloomer List and named a CBC/NCSS Notable Social Studies Trade Book, among many other accolades. Sue is also the author of Wheels of Change: How Women Rode the Bicycle to Freedom and Basketball Belles: How Two Teams and One Scrappy Player Put Women's Hoops on the Map. Josy Bloggs began her initial career as a graphic designer. After graduating from the University of Huddersfield in 2009 with a MA in Spatial Design she went on to work as an interior designer for commercial clients. Josy is based in Yorkshire.

Emily Cox is an illustration graduate from Falmouth University, currently based in Sussex. She enjoys mixing media, working both digitally and traditionally and her work often centres around colour, overlaying texture, loose brushwork and scribbly marks.

James Gibbs studied illustration at Cardiff School of Art and Design. He works with a combination of bold, graphic illustrations (often with a splash of lettering for good measure) to create playful imagery inspired by the mid-century children’s adventure books and packaging. James currently lives and works in London.

When not busy doodling, Liz Kay is usually found hiking and biking around the Yorkshire countryside and playing tennis for her local club.
