About the Author

Sue Walker lives in Sydney with her husband and three children. Sueโ€™s works range from picture books to chapter books for beginner readers to non-fiction. She also works as a childrenโ€™s bookseller and runs writing workshops for primary school students. Her book Best Friends was selected as a Notable Book by the Childrenโ€™s Book Council of Australia in 2005. Arnie Avery won the 2011 Childrenโ€™s Peace Literature Award and was a Notable Book in the CBCA Book of the Year Awards for that year.
