Volume 5, Part 1 is devoted to the grasses and includes accounts of approximately 470 species arranged in 20 tribes, accompanied by notes on ecology and distribution. In addition, there are 65 illustrations and keys to aid identification throughout the text, followed by distribution maps of each species.
