Tui was born on July 31, 1978 in Caracas, Venezuela. She was named after a noisy New Zealand bird, the tui, or better known as the kiwi. She has a sister, and best friend, Kari. Tui and her family were always on the go, from Asuncion, Paraguay to Miami, Florida. Her childhood was certainly an adventure in itself.
