Description

Climbing is all I have, I climb.' Photographer Fukamachi is visiting Habu's home when the felon Mohan turns up demanding the missing Kodak but is foiled when his earlier captor shoots and wounds him. Habu admits that he took the camera from Mallory's body but that there was no film found. He releases the camera to Fukamachi's charge on the understanding that he can only use it after Habu completes his solo climb of Everest's South West face. But Fukamachi is going with him!'

About the Author

Jiro Taniguchi was born 1947 in Tottori, Japan. He trained in the 60's and debuted in 1971 in 'Young Comic'. During the 70's he worked with author Natsuo Sekikawa before launching into their massive work 'The times of Botchan' in the 80's. The 90's saw many solo works including the prize winning 'A Distant Neighborhood'. The new millenium saw Taniguchi's epic adaptation of Baku Yumemakura's novel 'The Summit of the Gods' into a 1500 page manga. He continues to live and work in Japan. Yumemakura Baku was born in 1951 in Odawara, Japan. He studied Japanese Literature at Tokai University and started writing seriously in 1982. He is perhaps best known for his series turned video game on Martial Arts, Garouden.
