Along with many others I'm really bad at working out how much to cook when I'm catering for more than 10 people. Rose Prince offers dinner menus for fewer than that number but, especially in the run-up to Christmas, this book will prove its worth for the party menus that cater from anything from 20 to 60 guests. Rose Prince has been writing and campaigning about food for over 20 years. She writes a column for the Telegraph Magazine and has written four cookbooks, The New English Kitchen (2005), The New English Table (2008), Kitchenella (2010), which was shortlisted for a Galaxy award, and The Pocket bakery (2013). In 2006 she wrote The Savvy Shopper, a book based on the Telegraph column of the same name. She also writes for the Spectator, the Tablet and is a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4's Today Programme and The Food Programme. She has won both a Glenfiddich Award and a Fortnum & Mason Food & Drink award for her food writing.
