When the chicks hatch, their eyes are still closed and they have no feathers. But they can already sing for their food, and the song that they sing is the song their mother has been singing to them before they were even born.

Mike and Linda have both been successful literacy consultants in Australia and New York. Having previously coauthored literacy materials, they've now combined to write several wonderful picture books that will delight young readers and parents alike.

Mandy is an award-winning, best-selling children's book author and illustrator, based in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Shehas worked on over 27 picture books, such as Hush Say the Stars, Joey and Riley and Warna Muanda Baby.
