AD 1203: ROBIN HOOD MUST TURN THE TIDE OF WAR

Normandy Ablaze

AD 1203: England and France are locked in a brutal struggle for power. The fate of the embattled duchy of Normandy is in the hands of the weak and untrustworthy King John. Facing disaster, he calls for help from a former outlaw - Robin Hood.

The Earl of Locksley

As King Philip II's army rips through the Norman defences, Robin - the Earl of Locksley - leads a savage mercenary force into battle under the English banner, supported by his loyal lieutenant Sir Alan Dale. But defeat is only one castle away.

The Iron Castle

The most powerful fortress in Christendom, only Chateau Gaillard can resist the French advance. Robin and Alan must defend this last bastion against overwhelming force - for if the Iron Castle falls, Normandy will fall with it.

Critic Reviews

“Joyous writing, full of verve and control.-- Conn Iggulden”

Joyous writing, full of verve and control. - Conn Iggulden

A gloriously entertaining reboot . . . Donald's Robin is a fascinating figure - enigmatic, unpredictable, charismatic and more Benedict Cumberbatch than Errol Flynn. Huge fun. - The Times

Angus Donald delivers rip-roaring novels that fling you headlong into the dark undercurrents of the medieval world, written in a taut and compelling style and seething with skulduggery. A master of adventure. - Robyn Young

Angus Donald leads you into the familiar forests of Medieval England...and then all hell breaks loose! Far from the figure of popular legend, Donald's Robin Hood is a brutal, cunning warlord who will let nothing stand in his way. A fresh, lively and welcome take on one of the world's most famous outlaws. And yet, it stirred in me a nostalgia for all the great stories of my childhood; those that thrilled me, inspired me and shaped who I am today. Complex heroes, craven villains, brutal fights...a boy's own romp that flies like an arrow from a yew bow - Giles Kristian on King's Man
