About the Author
Atinuke is a Nigerian storyteller. She draws upon her recent ancestry from Yoruba land, England and Wales, and more ancient origins in Spain, Portugal and China, to tell stories from both the world of folktales and contemporary life. She has written many Anna Hibiscus Racing Read titles and has a new series entitled No. 1 Car Spotter. She lives in Newport, Pembrokeshire with her husband and two sons. Lauren Tobia is the illustrator of several books for children, including Baby's Got the Blues, written by Carol Diggory Shields, Happy in Our Skin, written by Fran Manushkin, and the multiple award-winning Anna Hibiscus picture books, written by Atinuke. About this book, she says, "It has been a joy to crunch through the snow with Little Miss Bear and her mother. I am a big fan of snowy walks, too!"
