Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher: two brothers who rose from a council estate in Manchester to create the dominant musical force of their generation: Oasis. This rock 'n' roll behemoth and the band members' swaggering personas cast the biggest of cultural shadows over modern life in the nineties and early noughties. Oasis with their volatile chemistry was the last truly great British rock band. But since the Gallaghers' in-fighting finally crashed Oasis in the summer of 2009, they hadn't spoken a word to each other...until now.
GALLAGHER chronicles the fall and rise again of one of the world's biggest bands. Told via Noel and Liam's individual journeys; from the shattered remnants of Oasis through the decade-and-a-half of highs and lows that led to them both becoming formidable solo artists in their own right before finding a way to heal their fraternal rift and stage the biggest comeback of all-time. Through meticulous research and exclusive inside access, author PJ Harrison has crafted a unique narrative structure, allowing the reader to draw their own comparisons to vividly reveal why the Gallaghers have such enduring legacies both apart and together. Written by a fan for fans, this definitive biography will cast a new light on how two uniquely different brothers navigated fame, family, and sibling rivalry to create music history and shock the world with the reunion nobody imagined could ever happen."Definitely Maybe" changed PJ Harrison's life. Originally from Liverpool, PJ became a huge fan of Oasis and travelled to watch their concerts throughout his teens, often arriving as early as 7am to stand in line so he could watch from at the very front. In his twenties, PJ began to work in the music industry, firstly with his own Sony JV record label (in the same group as Oasis' Creation Records) before moving into major label artist management, writing and production. PJ's world began to overlap with that of Oasis. The band took a shine to several artists he managed and took them, and PJ with them, on world tours. During this period of touring Harrison spent almost every day around the band and their crew, getting to know their management and developed friendly relationships with the band. Much of PJ's time is now spent in the sports arena as a co-founder of LA football club City of Angels alongside musician and entrepreneur Joe Sumner. PJ divides his time between LA and London. This is his first book.
