Lucy is about to marry the man of her dreams - kind, handsome, funny Dan - when she breaks her neck the night before their wedding. She started writing fiction in 2005 and was awarded the runner-up prize in the Woman's Own short story competition in 2006 and won the Helen Mullin Award and Bank Street Writers short story competitions in the same year.
