Description

How can you lose the love of your life, but gain the greatest love you can ever know?

In this gripping memoir, Louise Blyth charts the love story she shared with her husband and shares how it prematurely toppled into grief, pain and enlightenment.

Hope Is Coming documents what happened when thirty-three-year-old George, a stoical and dynamic father of two, was diagnosed with advanced cancer. Told through letters, love notes and text messages, this true-story shares beautiful insight into one of life's biggest milestones. It tenderly provokes a deeper look inside our hearts and shines a light on some of life's biggest questions. The couple's story highlights the strength and fortitude of the human spirit, whilst also teaching that peace and connection with God can emerge from sadness. This book will speak to all of those who have loved, lost and search for the meaning of life in death.

Critic Reviews

“Thought-provoking, uplifting and inspiring.”

-- Stacey Heale
It takes a huge amount of courage to write about something as traumatic as grief. As someone who has also been widowed, I know how hard it is to think about your loved one's journey, let alone put it down on paper. I applaud Louise, her bravery in talking about a subject, death, that we all need to be a lot more open about. -- Nina Nannar, Arts Editor, ITV News

About the Author

Louise Blyth was thirty-three when she became a widow. Her husband George peacefully died in November 2016 following a short battle with bowel cancer.

Before becoming a widow Louise read English and French at Warwick University. She joined Mars Incorporated as a graduate trainee in 2006 and worked in various sales and marketing roles in a career that spanned eleven years.

After George's death Louise left the corporate world to raise awareness of bowel cancer in young people and discuss the existence of God. The 'George Blyth Trust' funds scientific research and educational programmes associated with bowel cancer in younger people.

Louise still lives in Nottinghamshire with her young sons Charlie and Jamie and continues to challenge herself each day to practice gratitude and create spiritual connectivity through prayer.
