Douglas Florian was born and raised in New York City and educated at Queens College and the School of Visual Art. Before turning to poetry and illustration for young people, Douglas Florian was a cartoonist for the New Yorker. His many collections of poetry for children include Poetrees, Dinothesaurus, and Lizards, Frogs, and Polliwogs. Douglas Florian’s abstract paintings have been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows, several of which have been favorably reviewed in the New Yorker and the New York Times. He lives in New York City.
Hannah Tolson earned a degree in illustration from Falmouth University and also studied at Leeds College of Art, both in the United Kingdom. Since graduating, she has worked with many publishers around the world and has many children’s picture books to her name.
