Description

As more and more crafters are discovering, it's easy to dye your own fabrics. Now Rebecca Burgess identifies 36 plants that will yield beautiful natural dyes. HARVESTING COLOR explains where to find these plants in the wild ( and for those that can be grown in your back garden, how to plant and nurture them) and the best time and way to harvest them. For dyeing itself, Burges describes the simple equipment needed and provides a master dye recipe. The book is organised seasonally, with gorgeous colour photographs throughout and as an added bonus each season includes a knitting project that can be made with wools dyed that's season.
