Critic Reviews

With breathtaking illustrations, Seed to Sky: Life in the Daintree is packed with fun facts about the animals and plants native to the Daintree Rainforest region. Books + Publishing
This is another fantastic book from Pamela Freeman, exploring nature for younger and older readers, and showing the beauty and importance of nature in our lives, and how our natural world and environments, particularly in Australia, have been shaped over many, many years. This engaging book combines Pamela’s wonderful words with Liz Anelli’s impressive and evocative illustrations, bringing a part of Australia to life for everyone. Ashleigh Meikle
This beautiful addition to the wonderful series of books called Nature Storybooks, concentrates on the most astounding rainforest in Australia, the Daintree. The reader is taken on a journey, using two different fonts to differentiate the story of the seed, from the information about the rainforest and its inhabitants. Each is engrossing, as we follow life around the magnificent Bull Kauri Pine. ReadPlus

The text is cleverly organised along two differing language styles, making this book relevant to a wide age range. Descriptive, lyrical, narrative style passages masterfully conjure vivid imagery and tell short engaging anecdotes suited for younger kids... Anelli’s detailed, accurate illustrations of the abundant fauna and flora of the Daintree Rainforest fill the pages, adding rich meaning to the text and capturing the idyllic rainforest scenery of the Daintree.
