About the Author

Dominic Couzens is a full time writer on birds and wildlife, contributing to a number of magazines, including Bird Watching, BBC Wildlife and the RSPB's Birds magazine, and has written many books, including the bestselling The Secret Lives of Garden Birds and My Family and 50 Other Animals. He lives in Frendown, Dorset with his family. His website is

David Chandler has been watching birds for more than 25 years over three continents. He has worked for the RSPB and BirdLife International and is now a freelance writer and Environmental Educator. He is coauthor of the RSPB Children's Guide to Birdwatching. He lives in Histon, Cambridge with his family.
