The Blink That Killed The Eye is a beautifully written collection of short stories exploring the lives of people who, whether through status, wealth, gender or age, are rendered invisible by society. All the stories in some form deal with conflict; be it internal or external, and show the characters' struggle to regain some kind of control or understanding over their lives. The stories work both individually and chronologically, with each interlinked through the lives of the characters.
Anthony Anaxagorou is an acclaimed poet, prose writer, playwright, performer and educator. He has published eight volumes of poetry, a spoken word EP and written for theatre. His poetry has appeared on BBC Youth Nation, BBC Newsnight, the British Urban Film Awards, BBC 6 Music and been performed by Cirque du Soleil. He teaches poetry and creative writing in schools while working closely with both The Poetry Society and First Story. His work has been studied in universities across the U.S, the UK and Australia as well as having been translated into Spanish, Japanese and French.
