Critic Reviews

The mystery element kept me turning the pages but it was the superb characterisation that made the story stay with me. It taught me that it's never too late to remake yourself into someone better Telegraph
Even the most cynical reader would be hard pressed to remain unmoved by The Secret Garden. There is an old-fashioned tenderness and joy to it; the sense that magic happens if you are observant and quiet and know it will.
One of the most original and brilliant children's books
A blend of power, beauty, vivid interest and honest goodness. Yes, if this is magic, it is good magic New York Times
The Secret Garden should be on every child's bookshelf The Times
