Davarian L. Baldwin (Author)

Davarian L. Baldwin is the Paul E. Raether Distinguished Professor of American Studies at Trinity College in Connecticut. He is an urbanist, historian, and cultural critic. His work largely examines the landscape of global cities through the lens of the Black modern experience.

Noa Denmon (Illustrator)

Noa Denmon is a Pittsburgh-based artist and illustrator interested in movement and patterns, and she was heavily influenced by the industrial landscape of Pittsburgh and how that contributed to her identity. Her first picture book, A Place Inside of Me, is a Caldecott Honor Book.
