Summary

Inside the top 20 batting performances in Australian cricket over the past 50 years from former Test cricketer Brad Hodge, including interviews with the star batters

Description

Brad Hodge played 46 international matches for Australia and made an unbeaten 203 in a Test against South Africa. He recognises a star batting performance when he sees one, and he knows that what makes an innings special is beyond the numbers alone.

Top Knocks is a rare and remarkable book that provides a countdown to the 20 greatest Australian batting performances over the past 50 years, from someone so close to the action that he might as well be down the other end of the wicket. As well as revisiting, analysing and celebrating each remarkable innings, 'Hodgey' interviews the star batters to see what they think of each particular knock and, even more interestingly, what they were thinking at the time.

Critic Reviews

'Top Knocks is a slog sweep for six, something I'll never be able to do'. - The Weekend Australian
