Carlee Yardley writes and illustrates books for children. She was born in Melbourne, but now lives near the sea in Coffs Harbour with her husband and four young children. The inspiration for her first picture book came from a bunch of stuffed animals she made for her children. Carlee uses fabric scraps and a sewing machine to bring the characters to life and send them out on adventures. Dog and the Lost Leg is her first book.
